When I hit the brake pedal pedal jerks and makes a humming sound what causes

Could be power break system, Could be brake disks or drums, It could be ABS system, a part of the breaking system. Since breaking is critical for safety, I'd get it checked and fixed soon by your dealer or a reputable shop.

When breaking, my break pedal begins to pulsate when stopping. Also, the steering wheel begins to shake when breaking.

Usually a sign one of the front brake rotors is out of round. It could also be something wrong with the abs but I doubt it.

My Toyota RAV4 shakes when I apply brakes, especiall going downhill. Do they need to be replaced?

More than likely it's time to replace .Usually if the pedal shakes hard while breaking that signifies that the rotor is bad.Sounds to me as if you will be replacing breaks and rotors.

I recently replaced all of the break pads (4 wheels all disc) on my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. I have a brake, but the pedal goes down too far before gaining hold/stopping the car. I never cracked a bleeder...

the brakes need to be broken in, if you are pushing the pedal hard to try to stop, if the pedal just goes down on normal breaking then theres a problem, make sure the pads are sliding freely, if the pads are tight on the bracket then the bracket needs to be cleaned and lubed, this will make the pedal drop lower than normal, theres no other reason, you never opened the bleeders the pedal should be good, make sure the pads slide freely,
