If its an automatic, check the fluid and possibly change it and the filter also, if its a stick, sounds like a clutch problem to me, either out of adjustment or worn enough to require replacement..good luck

When stopped at traffic light or just stopped with motor running it has a jerking motion, have just had one of the fuel injectors replaced, it looses power when driving has plenty of power taking off


If you have a check engine light on, pull the code. Jerking while stopped is often a sign of needing a tune up, but it can be other things too. If it's been a while since last tune up, change plugs and wires.

My hyundai 2008 accent jerks violently upon take off


the new hyundais shift into second gear when coming to a stop and stay ther until u hit the throttle agian to accel and then they downshift into first for take off,thats how they get such a smooth idle when stopped,try takin it to the dealer ,they will most likely tell u the same thing,hopr this helps
