4. Turn Ignition switchON and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn Ignition switchoff and wait at least 10 seconds

Throttle Valve Relearn
Throttle ValveClosed Postion Learningicon1.png is to learn the fully closed postion of the throttle valveby monitoring the throttle position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time harness of
electric throttle control actuator or ECM is disconnect.

1.Make sure accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition ON
3. Turn igntion switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds. Make sure that the throttle valvemoves during the 10 seconds by confrming the operating sound.
(You can hear the TB sound when you have key on and shifter in first gear and step on the gas. So you know what you listening for.)

Why Pius "initializing" after 12V reconnect?

There are some systems which are kept alive as long as the auxiliary battery is connected. If the battery is disconnected the idle speed control valve learning value will be initialized and symptoms like loud rattle from the hybrid trans axle assembly could be heard.
Always perform the idle speed learning procedure if the auxiliary battery is disconnected for any reason.

Adjust idle sensor 2005 altima nissan 4 cylinda

You mean adjust idle air volume? You will need Consult II,III for do it properly. If you can;t get it,try manual idle air volume learning: http://nissanhelp.com/diy/altima/projects/nissan_altima_idle_air_volume_learning_procudure.php

Have a 2007 nissan murano, coded po507. Rpm's higher than normal. When driving everything fine but when slowing down seems like rpm's stay in a gear then quickly drop to where they should be. What can I do...

There are a few procedures you can perform; 1. An accelerator pedal released position learning procedure 2. A throttle valve closed position learning procedure 3. An idle air volume learning procedure. I would start by checking to see if your electric throttle control actuator is binding up or sticking. Sometimes you can get a carbon build up in your throtte plate inside the throttle body which can cause the code you're getting and also check for a vacuum leak in the intake somewhere and also check the PCV system. These are the main cause for the code you're getting. If all looks good there and you need those procedures, feel free to email me directly at csautomotivecars@att.net and I'll be happy to make you up a PDF on how to do those procedures without any fancy diagnostic equipment but check the other things first to see if that clears up your problem. Hope this helps.....

Why does my car jerk when i change the transmission from park to drive

the idle RPM is too high
or its just too cold,
how cold is it outdoors?
idle speeds cold can be about 1500 RPM/ cold.
and will ****.
it jerks because you are taking 0 torque from engine
and the sending that to a stalled rear axle.
this cause a ****, that is why the park lock out requires Brakes on
so yo dont run over things.

Had to replace ecu / ecm car stay now at low idle handler thinks throttle body issue also replaced spark plugs could

There are 3 things that must be done when replacing the ECM and all of these will cause the idle to be off as each of these procedures has to do with "teaching" the computer how to work with different sensors in order to run and idle correctly. The first would be the accelerator pedal released position learning procedure. Next would be the throttttle valve closed learning procedure and finally what's called an idle air volume learning procedure. The first 2 must be done even if the ECM was just disconnected. The last one must be done if the ECM was replaced and if you do the last one the first 2 must be done first. Nissan s are very detailed in their systems. If certain things are not done your computer/ECM just doesn't know what to do. Did the person replacing your ECM due these procedures ? It is much easier to do these with the proper diagnostic equipment but it is possible to be done without it. If you have any questions on how to do these, feel free to comment on here or email me directly at csautomotivecars@att.net and I will be happy to try and walk you through it.

2003 nissan altima rpm goes crazy (at 2 then drops to 0, back and forth)then it dies. it is doing it more frequently

I have also read in the service manual that doing an idle relearn helps with RPM problems. This is the procedure below. It is complicated to do unless you have a watch or something to count the seconds with.

DESCRIPTION
“Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning” is an operation to learn the fully released position of the accelerator
pedal by monitoring the accelerator pedal position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time
harness connector of accelerator pedal position sensor or ECM is disconnected.
OPERATION PROCEDURE
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning UBS002OA
DESCRIPTION
“Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning” is an operation to learn the fully closed position of the throttle valve
by monitoring the throttle position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time harness connector of
electric throttle control actuator or ECM is disconnected.
OPERATION PROCEDURE
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch “ON”.
3. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
Make sure that throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound.
Idle Air Volume Learning UBS002OB
DESCRIPTION
“Idle Air Volume Learning” is an operation to learn the idle air volume that keeps each engine within the specific
range. It must be performed under any of the following conditions:
Each time electric throttle control actuator or ECM is replaced.
Idle speed or ignition timing is out of specification.
PREPARATION
Before performing “Idle Air Volume Learning”, make sure that all of the following conditions are satisfied.
Learning will be cancelled if any of the following conditions are missed for even a moment.
Battery voltage: More than 12.9V (At idle)
 Engine coolant temperature: 70 - 95ーC (158 - 203ーF)
 PNP switch: ON
 Electric load switch: OFF
(Air conditioner, headlamp, rear window defogger)
On vehicles equipped with daytime light systems, set lighting switch to the 1st position to light
only small lamps.
 Steering wheel: Neutral (Straight-ahead position)
 Vehicle speed: Stopped

Stops while driving

this is usually due to a dirty throttle body. just beware if you do try to clean it you will need to preform the idle relearn procedure. this does work, ive done it personally.

A. Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learning Procedure.
1. Make sure that the accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds (how would you know if you get it right?)

B. Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch is “ON”.
3. Turn ignition switch is “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
Make sure that the throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound (i never get this right because i never heard anything)

C. Idle Air Volume Learning (Throttle Position Learning)
It's best to time with a watch/clock.

1. Perform “Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning”.
2. Perform “Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning”.
3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Turn ignition switch “OFF” and wait at least 10 seconds.
5. Conform that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
6. Repeat the following (steps 7a, 7b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
7a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD)
7b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the Check Engine Light (CEL) stops
blinking and turned ON.
9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the CEL is ON.
10. Start engine and let it idle.
11 Wait 20 seconds
12Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure the idle speed and ignition timing are within the specifications. (this is fine because SES light lets you know if you did it right the way it blinks)
