Question about 1989 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer
All the other lights work i check the fuse all ok what to do ?
First, check the dimmer selector for the dash lights and be sure its not off or turned down way far(usually a rotating knob or dial) the dash bulbs are set into a thin printed circuit board style plastic sheet that runs behind all sections of the dash itself..sometimes it looses its ground where the connector hooks in and that can be tough to get to if you have large hands because s10s dont have a lot of room to move in to start with..if absolutely necessary, you can remove the dash cluster by remov ing the mounting screws and pulling the unit toward you(the shifter must be in low gear with the car not running) it should pull out far enough to see the fixtures and the connector on the base of the unit..I owned a pickup that kept blacking out and the connector wiggled loose behind it..retighten it by pushing it into the back of the cluster and recheck it before putting it back in place.. good luck

GM actually did something that I thought was rather clever in the '90's. Whenever one of my rear light bulbs would burn out, I would lose my dash lights. I suggest that you check all your rear lights, brake lights & reverse included as well as turn signals. Start with regular tail lights, that's what was always burnt out on mine. I sure hope this is the problem. I was so glad when it was something that simple on mine.

This is a problem with all trucks what you need to do is get the dash or cluster out and get it repaired at gm they send it out and after a few days it will be returned functional
