SOURCE: 2006 Hyundai Sonata 3.3 engine - cabin filter replacement

It should be the same general procedure as the 02. Open Glove box and remove contents. Remove glove box stops and or glove box shock on side. With the glove box swung out of the way remove the panel that covers the air filter. Remove and replace filter. Reinstall cover, and glove box stops.

SOURCE: 2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited-where is switch for glove box light??

Apparently the glove box light doesn't light up until the car is turned ON and the headlights are on! Worked like a charm when I did that. I think the glove box light should go on without the car being turned on, in case of an emergency....

The lower glove box on my 2009 Rav4 won't close. It feels like something has fallen behind it. How do I remove the glove box door?

I had the same problem with my 2009 RAV4 lower glove box. I removed the box by popping the top front right post and then the top left front post from theside housings by prying them free with my fingers. They pop out easily. I then let the box fall open and while holding it level to the floor, pulled forward, released the piston from the post on the right, and the glove compartment came out without tools. There was a plastic electrical box cover, which came loose behind the glove box, blocking it from closing. I snapped the cover plate back in place and then reversed the glove box removal process. It took a few minutes and I needed no tools.

Change cabin air filter

Most cabin air filters are located inside the dash. Only way to access this area is through the glove box. Open glove box, remove/open the tabs and the glove box cover will drop down to gain access. Be sure to remove all items from the box or they will just dump out on floor. Behind the glove box using a flashlight you will see the filter, remove, replacement is reverse of accessing.

Hope this helps!

How do you change the cabin air filter in a 2009 Hyundai Sonata?

I just did this on our 2007 Sonata. 1. open the glove box. On both sides of the glove box, there is a black tab which prevents the glove box from opening to far. The Chilton manual says to remove these, but that is more difficult then simply pressing inward on the sides of the glove box to release them from the channel. Now the glove box should open even more. Next, remove the piston arm from the right side of the glove box. You can do this by removing the panel on the side of the dash, but you first need to open the passenger door. You can also just use a screwdriver or other tool to slip the piston of without removing the dash side panel. Now with the glove box hanging fully open, you can see the cabin filter box. There are tabs on both sides of the front that you simply press together in order to slide the filter out of the box. This whole process from beginning to end should only take about 10 minutes and is very simple.

Where can I find the cabin air filter on my 2007 sonata

To change the cabin air filter one needs to remove the glove box first. This is reasonably simple and involves a couple of screws, the rubber glove box limit pads, and a 10mm nut. The air filter is located in the heater assembly directly behind the glove box. The filter is removed by releasing the plastic clip holding the filter and withdrawing the filter forwards. (The filter is installed like a vertical drawer.)

A dash lite on my 2009 hyundai sonata came on while was driving. if you can tell me what it is TPMS

stands for Tire Pressure Monitor System= TPMS. check all tire pressures (when cold if possible) and adjust them according to the tire pressure sticker on the drivers door jamb, glove box, another door jamb or center console compartment(inside).even check the spare tire pressure. the lite comes on to tell you that either 1 or more tires is considerably lower or higher in pressure than the rest. once u adjust the pressures correctly, look in the owners manual as to how to reset/shut off the light. on alot of cars if u drive the car for awhile the light will reset and go off .hope this helps.

Need to replace cabin airfilter

if it's simialr to my mazda...there's a push-in clip and a retractable cord that support the glove box. Detach the cord and push in the clip and it should drop down and slide out.
The filter should be behind a clip-on compartment door.

I own a 2005 hyundai sonata gls and would like to know if it has a cabin filter and where it is located so that I can replace it.

yeah it has a cabin air filter and should be fairly easy to replace. You have to take out the glove box and its behind it.First take out the skrews for the glove box door.Open it and you will see them. Then remove all the remaining skrews that holds the interior of the box and remove it.There will be two philips head skrews up on the top, remove those and then push downward on the acces door.once you open it then just remove the filter and reverse the process.Good luck!
