I recently bought a 2005 Dodge Neon, the oil light was coming on so I reported to dealer who replaced oil sensor switch, now the check engine light is on so I bought a pocket scanner and it comes up with PO340. I was told by dealer to put hightest gas in it and a fuel cleaner run thru cycle and see what if light goes out. from what I have red is this going to fix problem or should I have him fix the crankshaft sensor problem?

Trouble Code: P0340

No Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Failure

Possible Causes:

CMP Sensor connector is damaged, open or it is shorted.CMP Sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground or to battery voltage or 5v supply circuit.CMP Sensor 5v supply circuit is open or shorted to ground or to battery voltage.CMP Sensor ground circuit is open.CMP Sensor is damaged or has failed.CKP Sensor is damaged or has failed.PCM has failed.I would make a copy of this and tell him that the camshaft needs to be replace or what ever is causing problem, they probaly know.
