Question about 2004 Hyundai XG350
Speedometer is not accurate, it keeps jumping, and the cruise control doesn`t regulate to proper speed set, keeps bucking .
Most likely the Vehicle Speed Sensor is defective. the fact that the cruise control doesn't work properly Is the strongest link to the VSS being defective. SOURCE: speedometer and tachometer
Both are in need of repair, nothing else will cause this kind of problem except the inner electronics of both instruments, they can be repaired by any authorized Hyundai electronics repair station, but it won't e cheap.

If your transmission fluid level is okay, then you need a new speedometer cable. Its not terribly difficult to replace, but it does require you to pull the instrument cluster. A local Hyundai dealership might be willing to photocopy the specific speedometer cable replacement instructions out of the 2004 Accent shop manual.
