SOURCE: 98 chevy astro van

mmmmmmmm they are really hard to replace but most likelly is goin to be a intake gasket, i do recomend you to call arrown the auto repairs and ask for a pressure test to the cooling system
this test is not that expensive and will tell you exactly where is the leak coming from, but on this type of vehicles i badly see a freeze plug leaking.

SOURCE: 1999 kia sephia leaking antifreeze

I have a 97 Sephia with what sounds like the same configuration. The tube is for the heater and there is an "O" ring on the metal tube that goes bad over time. You can replace the gasket by removing the metal tube from the engine, or the water neck and replace the o ring.

SOURCE: Water not staying in Radiator

yes, not having an overflow reservoir for your radiator will cause you to lose water. As your engine warms up the water expands and creates pressure in the cooling system. When the pressure reaches a certain point(usually about 15 psi.) the radiator releives the pressure by releasing water into the overflow tank. When the engine cools back down the water shrinks pulling water back into the radiator from the overflow. If there is no overflow, the everytime the engine warms up on a drive water will be lost and not recovered on cooldown.

I have the Kia Cerato and when brake pedal is pushed the park lights come on and the dash lights up? This is even with no key on or even put into the car.

This is usually caused by a blown fuse, but not on the circuit that you are seeing the effects. Cars use common earths and when a fuse blows, power is routed in places where it is not supposed to. There will be a fuse box in the cabin and one under the hood. Check all the fuses one by one.

Sometimes stalls after starting either warm or cold. Kia cerato 2011 95,000

Neither can I. Unless you let me have it for what ever time it takes to stall. That costs money. You can buy a cheap code reader. when it happens, Check the codes before you turn it off.

I have 2005 kia spectra and I got a new radiator

if there is no engine noise then the oil pressure is probably good there fore you most likely have a bad oil pressure sensor that is bad causing the oil light to come on. change the oil pressure sensor(OPS).

2005 kia spectra over heating

Did you install a new thermostat and make sure to bleed all the air out of the system when you replaced the radiator? If you didn't, or installed a Stant thermostat, replace it with a FACTORY OEM thermostat. Make sure the cooling system is bled by opening your radiator cap (WHILE THE CAR IS OFF AND COLD), starting the car and running the heater. Add coolant to the radiator as the engine heats up, until is at normal operating temperature AND starts spitting coolant back out.

Hope this helps,

My 2001 Kia Sportage is overheating. This was a sudden issue. The fan is not turning on and I noticed that the radiator fluid was leaking from a hose below and in between the motor and battery. What could...

first rectify the leakages! then ensure that the thermo sensor is in good condition! if it is then change your engine control unit after checking that the fan are working!

Replace head & new timing belt

It sounds like the head gasket is leaking.

Is there also antifreeze in your oil? That may be causing your oil light to come on.

I would quit driving it until the situation can be resolved.

If you need more help post a comment and I will get back to you.
