Need to find the location of the battery in a 1996 Buick Riviera

I started the car and turned it off for a few minutes, tried to start it back up again and it had no juice at all. I think I have a problem with the battery cables or the terminals are loose and need to be checked

Belt has automatic tensioner, cannot be tightened. might need a new tensioner or an alternator or possibly a wiring problem.

Check the Belt Tension and the Alternator. It sounds like the Belt may have a Little Play in it and is not allowing the Battery to Charge.

Took battery out of my 1993 buick riviera, put back in now starts then dies

how did you disconnect the battery, pos first then neg ? or neg first then pos ? try starting it and after started, hold your rpm at 1500, for about two minutes, then if still running, drive it to get to.speeds of 40 for about 15 minutes, this is to relearn if not, disconnect your battery, take the pos and neg cable and touch them together and hold for about a minute, then Connect them back, neg.first.then pos, then follow steps above to.relearn.

I have a 1996 buick riveria and am having a problem. when I drive the car for a few miles (approx 10) I start to hear this kind of whisteling noise, I am not sure exactly where its coming from, up around...

You need a compression test done on this. When you get excessive air from the oil cap, this is an indication that the rings on the pistons are worn out. A compression test will confirm this.
