08 Yaris, Dashlights/radio/ and nobs lights do not come on

I just noticed last night that my speedomoter doesn't light up when I turn on my headlights on at night.

Also my nobs and radio lights don't come on anymore since I noticed this problem.

I'll be calling the dealer tomorrow cause now I have a car that I can't drive at night

I had the same problem. On the the dash on the left side near the steering wheel, there is a wheel like knob. Roll the knob until your dash lights come on when you have the headlights on. If its rolled in one direction they're off in the other they're on.

It is a Fuse for the Dash lights. It should be Labeled "Illumination" or just ill. This is what the Warranty is for though!

headlight switch is bad, change the headlight switch itsellf will short out, therefore blowing your fuse. turn signals and break lights are on a different relay, therefore they will still work

I changed stereo and now the dashlights do not work

Check your park light fuse. You may have blown the fuse for the dashlights/park lights by accidentally grounding the night illumination wire, located in the radio wiring. That wire runs from the dash lights to the radio, to illuminate the radio at night. Alternately, if the park light fuse keeps blowing when you replace it, you might've hooked that night light wire up to the wrong wire on your radio.

2005 Chevy Cobalt lights turn off

automatic headlights are controlled by a photo sensor on the dash located in front of the Instrument cluster. to test the sensor try covering it and see if the headlights come on. faulty wiring in the circuit could also cause this problem. the headlights and the radio are wired together and the "auto" function will cause the radio to get brighter when its dark out, thus the combination of problems.

My dash and radio lights go out when I turn on my headlights.

hi mate i owned a caprice classic on a 98 renown for electrical problems because there is so much electrical equipment on them try disconnecting the radio first and see what happens and try disconnecting the dash and see what happens failing that it could be any bulb in the car causing a short as the lioghting circuit is linked into the radio good luck
