unless you can discover what DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) has been recorded/set in the control module, it's anyone's guess.

SOURCE: i have a 2003 hyundai

This is most likely a problem in your ABS control module. Have it checked, after you check the brake pads for wear. The TCS warning will sometimes come on when the ABS brakes fail to function correctly or the pads are worn too far. This is caused by a brake not releasing as it should or if the caliper is extending too far to properly stop the vehicle. I would not delay in having this checked out as it could lead to brake failure.

Hyundai santa fe ABS working when not needed or ABS kicks on for no reason.there is no light on ABS-TCS.

Pull all the ABS wheel speed sensors and clean off any metal or dirt you find attached to them (they are magnetic "hall effect" sensors). Check the wiring to them as well.

PRE-DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTIONBefore diagnosing ABS/TCS, perform a comprehensive visual inspection of system as follows.Check ABS/TCS wiring harness connectors for looseness. Check harness routing; pay particular attention to wheel speed sensor wiring harness routing. Check fuses No. 1D, 5B and 6B in instrument panel fuse block. Check fuses No. 1 and 2 in underhood fuse block. Check brake fluid level in master cylinder reservoir. Check brake fluid level in Pressure Modulator Valve (PMV) assembly reservoir. Ensure parking brake is fully released. Ensure parking brake switch is functioning properly. Always perform ABS/TCS system functional check before using DIAGNOSTIC CODE CHARTSThe EBCM/EBTCM has self-diagnostic capability, which can detect system failures. Fault codes stored by EBCM/EBTCM can be displayed using Tech 1 scan tester. There are no provisions for flash code diagnostics.Begin ABS/TCS diagnosis with PRE-DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION procedure. If failures are found during pre-diagnostic inspection, perform necessary repairs, and proceed with ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK. See Fig. 5 .If no failures are found during pre-diagnostic inspection, go to ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK. See Fig. 5 . The ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK will either indicate ABS/TCS is functioning properly or direct technician to various diagnostic procedures such as diagnostic charts, symptom diagnosis or BRAKE warning light diagnosis.CHART D - TRACTION OFF WARNING LIGHT ON CONTINUOUSLY & NO DTC SET (BUICK WITH UH8 OR U2A INSTRUMENT CLUSTER)Circuit DescriptionWhen ignition switch is first turned to RUN position, EBTCM goes through a self-test, which lasts 2-4 seconds. The TCS<ABS> warning light on my Hyundai

If you are driving in slick conditions on snow and ice or on wet pavement, this could be NORMAL OPERATION. The lights are coming on to let you know that the Traction Control System (TCS) and the Antilock Brake System (ABS) is actively correcting a wheel slip condition.

If this is happening on dry pavement, and you are not driving like a maniac, (making the wheels slip and slide) then there is possibly a problem with one of your wheel speed sensors that is making your TCS and ABS computers "think" that there is a wheel slipping. You will have to scan your computer system and watch the wheel speed sensor data to find out which one is malfunctioning.

Recently had my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe on a rack to check tire problems. Spun the tires up in DRIVE to check roundness. Afterward the ABS and TCS OFF light came on and will not go off. Did running all 4...

the traction control uses a mechanism that if it senses that your tires are spinning it will automatically set your ABS to reduce the spin and give you more traction. you should have had the TCS off before you raised it up bbut i think you should look in your manual for a way to reset it if not you may have to take it to the dealership and have them reset it for you. hopefully you didn't damage the traction control sensor

Two seperate problems. I would say you have a bad wheel sensor. A trip to a local big chain parts store will tell you. They will run a diagnostic and pull the code for free. Hope this helps...
