SOURCE: service engine soon, TCS off, SLIP

The oil change wouldn't cause this problem. Just in-case, check the engine oil level.

There are many emission sensors in the car that will make the engine light come ON. Best way to find out what's going on is to have an auto-parts store hook up a engine code reader and tell you what the code means. Most auto-part store will do this for free.

SOURCE: 2005 Nissan Quest ABS, TCS, Brake, SLIP, Service Engine Soon lights are on and speedometer and odometer are not working

Retrieve codes from the ECM and report it is possible that the codes are related and could be something like speed sensor of some sort.

My tcs light, slip light, and service engine light all came on when I had to break hard in my 2005 Nissan Quest. Ran ok going home but would not down shift going uphill as normal.

Hi Laurence, take the vehicle for a diagnostic scan. The faults recorded at that time will be stored in the ECU memory and can be investigated. Have the faults erased after carrying out the scan and see if they come on again during driving. If they do let us know and we'll see what our next course of action should be. Regards John

The service engine light on is not a big deal. you just aren't meeting emissions right now.

Go to Autozone and have them run a free scan to get fault codes.

Just remember this - do not ever change the knock sensor even if it gives a fault code. It is in the middle of the engine and a waste of $600 for no improvement. It will never affect your engine performance, good or bad.

report back with code here or on Villager- Quest website I gave you.

Emitting white spoke also won't accelerate properly

I have worked a similar situation before, the white smoke that you see more than likely mean that you have a blown head gasket. That's antifreeze that blowing out the tail pipe, with a blow gasket it can cause the vehicle to **** and have poor acceleration. The sudden jerking motion can trigger the TCS- traction control system. Its almost like the vehicle is slipping when it **** like that, So I do believe that you need to replace the head gasket, and not a complete overhaul. Good Luck
