Breaks get hard at slow stop

When coming to a slow stop brake pedal gets hard - makes funny noise

I have recently had a new engine fitted in my Mazda 6 - oil leak and no warning light! When I eventually got my car back, the brakes were hard under 2000 revs so in the town when I was coming up to a junction, they wqould not work properly and I would overshoot - pretty dangerous. The mechanic who fixed my engine does not know what was wrong with it; the servo was fine and I bought a new 'brake vacuum pump' and had that fitted but it still did not make any difference. I eventually came up with the idea that, since it was not the servo, it must be the pipe leading to it that was cracked/leaking.

95 Chevy Tahoe had both front and back breaks replaced. Now a week later I hear a hissing noise when i push on break pedal and it's hard to push and barely stops .

You have a iar leak on the vacumn pipe which is most likely or the diaphragm inside the servo has split so ask a local mechanic for a opinion

Sounds like a possible air pocket in the braking system. Do you know how the bleed the brakes? They may need to be bled. Also, if you've added brake fluid recently, and didn't put the cap back on, it could create a suction. Another note is to check the cap to the brake fluid reservoir. It's rare, but, it could be bad.

Brakes are making loud grinding noise when slowing down to stop or on an incline

Ok, it could be a few things, 1. bad break caliper. 2. if you have ceramic breaks, it could be a cracked brake pad, and if they are not ceramic they can still be cracked. 3. if you drive a lot then it could be that you need new breaks again.. 4. also have your back breaks checked along with the front ones..

2005 honda accord noise when breaking (transaxle)

You say you hear the noise when you "slow down". Does this mean you hear the thumping noise when you let off the gas and let the car coast to a stop or only when you are applying the brakes to decellerate?
If you only hear the noise while applying the brakes then I would assume it has something to do with your brakes. The first thing that comes to mind would be rotors that aren't true or warped which could make a thumping sound.

Do you feel any vibrations in your foot when it is applying pressure to the brake pedal? If you do feel a sort of pulsating feeling then it could very well be your brakes making the noise.

I hope I was of some assistance,

Air escaping

this noise is a vacuum leak at the power brake vacuum booster due to a tear in the booster vacuum diaphragm, u should have this replaced ASAP, it the leak gets worse the brakes will become very hard to push and will limit your ability to make a safe and timely stop.

First you need to check the brakes lines and the brake pads must be replaced on your car they may be worn out........ Get it checked from the local service center........
