2000 Daewoo Leganza BRAKE LINE replacement...

Brake fluid is rapidly being depleted due to a massive hole to the brake line. I need to know what size the brake line is so I can have it replaced immediately!!

This is for the rear right brake line, not the hose.

I came here for the same problem. After several trips into the cold I found it. If it is the same as the 2000 Leganza, it is black, located on the drivers side, right knee, pointed down, and attached to the dash,

The Only way you can legally get a copy is to go to your local library and checkout a Chilton's manual. It is copy writ ted material and am not supposed to transmit via electronic internet, As well you don't say what section you need. Engine Harness Charging system or Chassis harness, You may be able to go to your local dealer and ask them for a copy, They can print it out for you.

First its not safe to drive and second I think you have a brake line that has a hole rusted thru it.If the brake line is not rusted I would take a look at the brake cylinder seals.

BRAKE LINES

Here's a link to a picture of the brake lines, you may need to remove and take to Autozone and match up to make sure it's the right one,you will need to get bleeder kit,and loosen bleeder screw at that side and remove fluid. Also buy more brake fluid, ask them what type you need.Be very careful when you loosen bleeder screw, they are very easy to strip, need a line wrench, discard fluid, never reuse. After you get new hose on,you will need to bleed, need to know, let me know.

Brake fluid is leaking from what appears to be some type of small (index finger size) filter in the brake line under the drivers side passenger door. I've never heard of a filter in the brake line,...

i think what your referring to is a proportioning valve that regulates the pressure to the brake that the line goes to,this helps regulate brake pressure to all the wheels so they are the same during braking so there is no wheel lock up while the other wheels don`t lock up.this is a common place for the fluid to leak out when the car gets old enough due to environmental conditions such as winter driving, corrosion, wet weather (lots of rain),salt conditions(living near salt water),it will have to be replaced and the brake lines should be checked for condition as they may need replacing as well.

I replaced the brake light switch and wont shut off

Pull UP on the brake pedal while someone watches the brake lights. If they go off (they should), you need to check the adjustment. It should be adjustable to make contact when the pedal is slightly depressed.

Ok my brakes go all the way to the floor i do not know if it is the brake buster or the brakes.

Ok most likely its NOT the brake booster, some of the most common reasons for your symptoms are: a leaking line or wheel cylinder, you may see fluid on the ground or on the inside of a wheel. If you cannot find any external leaks, remove the brake drums and carefully inspect for any evidence of fluid leakage from the wheel cylinders also carefully inspect the front brake calipers for any fluid leaks repair or replace with new parts never use used brake parts under any condition, and if the level in the master cylinder remains full you have no leaks any where, then you have a master cylinder that has failed internally, Change the master cylinder and bleed the system.
