SOURCE: I need a free owners manual for a 2000 chrysler 300M

There will be a few minor differences between the 2000 and 2004, but for the most part, you can use the 2004 manual as a reference. Since it is illustrated, you can confirm visually when you are taking on repairs. I have owned a 2000 300m for several years. Might I recommend you visit I am a member there and have learned a ton about 300m's.

SOURCE: 2004 chrysler 300m 3.5L waterpump location and

Yes the water pump does run of the timing belt system.
Directly from the service manual:

The 3.5L water pump has a die cast aluminum
housing and a plastic swept vane impeller. It bolts
directly to the right rear timing belt cover using an
O-ring for sealing. The water pump is
driven by the engine timing belt.

The water pump on all models can be replaced
without discharging the air conditioning system.

NOTE: It is normal for the water pump to weep a
small amount of coolant from the weep hole (black
stain on water pump body). Do not replace the
water pump if this condition exists. Replace the
water pump if a heavy deposit or a steady flow of
engine coolant is evident on water pump body from
the weep hole (shaft seal failure). Be sure to perform
a thorough analysis before replacing water

(1) Drain cooling system (Refer to 7 - COOLING -

(2) Remove accessory drive belts (Refer to 7 -

NOTE: The water pump is driven by the timing belt.

(3) Remove engine timing belt (Refer to 9 -

(4) Remove water pump mounting bolts (Fig. 31).
Note position of longer bolt for proper re-installation.

(5) Remove water pump body from engine

Need to check Battery test indicator to determine if we need to Jump-start battery. On a Chrysler 2004 300M, where is the battery test indicator?

What is the issue

Only Delco Batteries have an indictor eye,
that I'm aware of

That won't have anything at all to do with
jumping it

You use a volt meter

You don't do any testing or use a car that isn't at
12.5 Volts or more

That is your key to when to charge it

You never jump a dead battery unless
you want to risk getting hurt

2004 chrysler 300m, speedometer and tach lights go out sometimes and stay off. the next time i drive the car they just might be working, intermittently they work.

These cars are very finicky when it comes to the electrical components. We have a 2001, try this: Make sure the battery is tightened down good. Because of the battery location on these cars, there is good chance that ****** is moving around and the connections are coming loose. What we did was remove the battery clean it and the terminals and then put it back in, and every thing has been working since then. I hope this helps. It would be a good idea to get a service manual for this car just in case. Here is link to an inexpensive one. Chrysler 300M Service Manual.
