SOURCE: I connect a air comp.to the accessory power outlet & stop working

Fuses can fail from metal fatigue caused by their expanding and contracting with load changes. If they fail from this, you may not be able to visually identify them as 'blown.'
You can try swapping the suspect fuse with another of the same value or measure it with a multimeter set to the Ohms function.
If you don't own one of these, they can be had for under $20 US at auto or electronics parts stores. If you have a Harbor Freight tool store in your area, they have them almost always for $3-$10. These may not be all that precise but for home use they are completely acceptable.

SOURCE: my accessory outlet has no power

I had same problem, but it was 2 out of the 3 outlets that were not working. They were the ones in the center console. The one in the hatch remained operational. There is a fuse console under the hood, on the passenger side. One of these fuses was blown. I cannot remember which one it was. I used an ohm meter to test and locate the blown one. I think it was a 20 amp fuse, and once I replaced it, everything worked fine.

My lighter doesnt work, i have two and one doesnt work

There are actually FIVE cigarette lighter/ Auxilliary Power Outlets shown in the wiring diagrams for your vehicle.
The Instrument Panel [1] Accessory Power Outlet (Cigarette Lighter) is protected by the "LTR" Fuse (# 53 - 20 Amp) in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the engine compartment.

The Instrument Panel [2] Accessory Power Outlet is protected by the "AUX PWR" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash.

The Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet and the (two) Center Console Power Outlets are protected by the "AUX PWR 2" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash. NOTE: If your vehicle is not equipped with the Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet, or the Custom Floor Console (optional), this fuse position will most likely be empty.

My cigarette lighter works but none of the 3 power accessory outlets do. Where or what other fuse can I check. Manual does not show a fuse place for the power accessory outlets. Can you help

If its a factory item then it has a fuse in one of the fuse panels, under hood, under dash, on ends of dash, or even under the front or back seats. If its one someone installed then the fuse is somewhere in it's positive wire, stuffed under the dash or behind the console.

I have a 2008 gmc acacia. The front and mid auxiliary power outlets don't work. The fuse box is on a horrible location. I can't figure out which fuse it is and I don't want to spend hours...

{: ) At the underhood fuseblock, the AUX PWR fuse 20amps is for the Instrument panel and center console outlets, while the RR APO fuse 20amps is for the rear console and rear power outlets.
If your vehicle is equipped with an accessory 110vac, there is this PWR OUTLET fuse 25amps also at the underhood fuseblock. See red arrows on the sample diagram below:

wyet_helps_12.gif Safety reminders: Use only fuses of the same specifications. A higher fuse rating replacement can heat the wirings and could cause fire.

2005 Honda Pilot w/Navi. The front Power outlet unscrewed.

Search on the internet for instructions to install a Pilot cigarette lighter and ashtray. Steps 4 and 5 detail how to remove the console trim. I couldn't find the clips talked about in step six, so I Gently pulled out the base of the front console far enough to get a pair of pliers back there to tighten the power outlet. I have a 2005 Pilot without the Navi sys. Good luck!

2004 CHevy avalanche 1500, accessory power outlets do not work. I have checked all fuses that I know? What am I missing?

There are 2 locations for these fuses one being inside the truck on the left of the front console this one is easy to find with the drivers door open, and the othe is under the hood again on the drivers side. i am not sure which is which but one is for the cigrette lighter and the other is for the accessory outlets. just check the owners manual to be sure. if you still cannot locate the fuse purchase a cheap auto fuse tester and check them all out, it is a longer process but sometimes is works better
