Question about 2008 Dodge Caliber

1 Answer

I just bought a 2008 dodge caliber. Two weeks after bringing it home, I notice the passenger door lock is no longer in its door. Are these door locks screwed in or door you have to remove the door panel to work on this problem?

You will need to remove the Panel for the Repair. It is still under warranty, Make dodge fix it. That;s what the Warranty is For.

Door locks

You can change auto door locks option in personal settings on the dash tacho button. If you don't have that option you can change them manually by getting in the car and closing all doors, put key into ignition and turn key from "lock" to "on" four times ending in the lock position, then press the power door lock button on drivers side door and then you should hear a chime to confirm the change.

I just had this problem and found the solution on an other online source.
The modules have been known to lock up. Try disconnecting both battery leads and hold them together for about a minuet, this should reset the modules. Reconnect the leads and that may fix the problem.
Good luck it worked for me
