I have a problem with my 2001 sebring lxi. It makes a ding sound ( the same ding as when the gas gage light comes on) when it dings the odomiter reading goes off and the word (deck) appears. If you push...

It is saying your trunk lid/trunk sensor is open, unlatched or the sensor is not functioning properly. Check the wiring going to your trunk lid sensor, make sure it is clean and not corroded. Sometimes a good cleaning will do the job.

When my 1999 ford econline is on it makes a ding boos 5 times I think its the airbags because the check airbag light was on but know its off and makes that ding noise

When you turn the key on the airbag light should come on for the bulb test. If the bulb doesn't work, it will beep to let you know the bulb is out. The only way to stop it from beeping is to replace the bulb.

Our oil pressure light keeps coming on when the car is idleing. Every thing is fine though with the pressure, so I'm assuming the sensor is bad. is there a way to remove that sensor?? The dinging sounds...

it sounds like the oil pressure sending unit. it located a few inches from the oil filter. only takes a few minutes. the part is cheap, like 10 0r 20 dollars. maybe less.

I own a 2007 montana and had it for 1 month now ..It keeps making a ding ding ding chime while driving ..The passengers rear door is automatic and when I press the button it makes the same noise but when...

1. Turn off the overhead over-ride switch. Drive again. Do the chimes stop? If yes, the door is not closing properly due to the door contacts. Clean them yourself or have them serviced.
2. If the chimes did not stop in step 1. above, it's not likely the door but rather something else.
3. Chimes occur for many reasons. Suggest checking - a. are the rear back-up warning sensors blocked/dirty? b. any other lights on the dash like oil, abs, airbag, etc? c. passenger side airbag disabled - something heavy placed in passenger seat?

In my experience, it's the automatic door contacts. We have a long history of problems with these auto doors, that are still not resolved. problems all throughout the warranty period, and now into the extended warranty period. We must unite and get GM to resolve the quality of these doors. My next step (next incident) is going to be to have the dealership inspect the entire wiring system.

PT Cruiser passenger airbag light and bell go off without reason

HI I may have found y the airbag light goes off and on on pt cruisers. there is a pair of wires that connect to the seat air bag pod, the wires run down the seat and to a connector in th floor. after long in vestigation i found that even thou the wires have a conduit protecting them the wires run under the foam pad and over a steel bar, which caused 1 wire to be cut inside yet there was no tell tale sign from out side the sleeve, it was only when I disconected the battery and then the connector from the airbag and the floor connector removed it and run a meter on the two I found it. when i "pulled" the leads the outer sleeve stretched exposing the fault, the wire had a very clean break in it which was odd but the fault. note that only one wire powers the air bag, the other is a feed to the PCM, hence they are connected at the ends hence not easy to trace and with saftey in mind you must not put meters on the wires while connected to any part of the airbag
