You need to replace the Starter and Starter Solinoid then. I was trying the Easy fix first to sale a little $$$$$$

The only thing left then would be to remove the Cables from the Battery and make sure that they are Totally Clean. Use a Can of Coca Cola to clean them, It will eat off any corrossion. Scrape the Parts on the Cables a Little with a Knife tell you see it Shine and Reinstall. With a New Battery, It should kick off.

Ok, Check the Fuse Relay Box under the Hod for a Starter Relay and Fuel Relay. These may have gone out When the Battery Died. Let me know. I will be back on here at 11:00 pm Central Time

Locate the ECM Fuse in the Fuse Panel and Remove for 3 Min. This should clear the Computer Codes and Reset. Let me Know.

My 94 pontiac grand prix has been dieing on me for a while now it will do it while im driving and before it dies all of my gauges flicker like a short in the wiring and then about 5 to 10 min later it dies...

I would be looking into the anti theft system. Symptoms are very similar. Read this link, compare symptoms, look for a light on the dash that says "security". http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Car wont start. doesnt turn over. battery good replaced starter still having same problem

I just had this problem with my 2002 Grand Am. The problem was not with the battery or starter. It was the security system. It had to be reset. The garage said that they turned on the key and left it for about 20 mins until the light started to blink then started the car. They don't know why this happened, maybe the remote start? Hope thid helps. Dolores

Wont start when you turn the key. battery, alternator, and starter are fine. i think it may be the ignition switch but not sure

If the theft light is on try to start then leave key on until light goes approx 10min. If this works it needs an ignition lock cylinder.

Car wont start...sometimes

Sounds like a bad starter solenoid, usually cheapest and easiest to replace the starter and solenoid as a unit. It is always best to check for power between the solenoid and the starter with a test light, if the solenoid clicks but the test light doesn't light up you have found the problem in the solenoid.

Mine did the EXACT same thing! After a lot of googling, I found that you need to put the key in and turn it to the 'ON' position and leave it there for about 10 minutes. The security light will eventually stop flashing and your car will be fine to start. CRAZY, I know! But it works! Thankfully Google saved me from spending MUCHO $$$ for parts I didn't need in the first place!

Your bendix needs greased inside your starter - but you should just replace it the starter because the solenoid will be next.
