Temporary solution until you find someone who can fix it. As soon as you are done driving, unhook one of the cables on the battery, and then hook it up again before you try to start it next time.

SOURCE: 2002 mitsubishi lancer ac does not blow cold and will continue to

Sounds like either the a/c relay is bad or a/c compressor clutch is not disengaging. Look on the compressor for an electrical connector, and if you can, unplug it. That should stop the battery drain. I would suggest taking the car into a good a/c shop to have the compressor looked at. The clutch can be replaced without having to buy a new compressor.

SOURCE: The battery keeps going dead on 1999 Mitsubishi

There is an alternator fuse located on the positive battery clamp or in the fuse block under the hood. if it is part of the positive battery clamp it is a dealer only part and will run $10 to 20 dollars. If it is in the fuse block you should be able to get one at the auto store and modify it to slide in easily. Get a flash light and check all of your fuses carefully. The blown fuse may be hard to spot. The design of the car lets the battery go dead with out even turning on the charge light on the dash to let you know you are not charging the battery.

Car parts stores and libraries usually have sets of books that will walk you through the process.
Some of the names have been "Motor's", "Chilton's", and "Haines".
God bless your efforts.

I need to change my rear spark plugs

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Wait at least 90 seconds before performing any other work.
  2. Remove the ignition coil(s). The Spark Plugs are underneath the Coils
  3. Using a 0.63 inch (16mm) plug wrench, remove the spark plug
  4. CAUTION== Replace your Spark Plugs with the Original Type Plug Brand Name and Spark Plug Number OR you will have Problems with PRE-INGNITION: DON'T SUBSTITUTE to Any other Type Spark Plug. You might have to get them at the Dealer Ship.

My turning signal don't work but the flashers do work. I have changed all fuses and they still don't work.

since you know where the fuses are, you also know where the flashers are. the flashers are the same part so unplug the one for the emergency flasher and put it into the socket for the turn signals and vice versa. if the signals now work but not the emergency flasher you know to get a new flasher unit at any parts store. the flasher units are cubes about an inch on each side plugged into the fuse panel.

What would be the best spark plug to buy for an 05 Equinox with 60,000 miles on it and what would the gap be?

!st let me say your engine is not due a set of plugs until 100,000 miles, and to change them any sooner is a waste of money.

If you still wish to replace the plugs use ACDelco Spark Plugs, here is the part number and gap.

ACDELCO Part # 41101 [Iridium]
SPARK PLUG GAP .060"

How do you change the rear row of spark plugs (close to fire wall).with out dropping the engine?

You don`t have to drop the engine but you have to climb up on it to reach down with your hands. It will be tight and you will come out with some scratches. The hardest part is usually getting the boots off the spark plugs.Sorry to say but there is no secret way.If there were I would have found it buy now.I work at a G.M. dealership.Going back on is the easy part.Let me know if you have anymore questions.Good luck.
