well it will not turn could the starter be stuck out(drive)would this cause the flywheel not to turn?

Using a socket and a breaker bar/Big ratchet attach socket the crankshaft pulley bolt and rotate engine by hand. If engine rotates by hand a few times its not seized. Try Boosting battery or make sure that its fully charged. Vehicle should start if it doesn't and you can hear a click in starter. Then the STARTER is BAD. Replace and solve this problem. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

If the starter is stuck then you should hear it "CLICK" or Screech when your crank and battery is fully charged. Did you try my solution and what happened??

  • O Mclean Feb 03, 2009

OK but that can also mean that the Engine is seized and the starter is NOTable to turn the engine. YOU NEVER ANSWERED ME WHEN I ASK IF YOU TURN THE ENGINE MANUALLY WITH A SOCKET AND A RACHET/BREAKER BAR TO MAKE SURE IT CN TURN. If you did and it turns and now all you get is a "CLICK" from the starter then you need a new starter. And with a fully charged battery you should start right up. GOOD LUCK

IF this Engine does NOT turn with a breaker remove starter and make sure it NOT broken and stuck in between fly wheel if it NOt and Engine still does NOT turn with breaker bar and socket then your ENGINE IS SEIZED. Good Luck

If it was Running good Prior to this it is the Starter.

It very well could be the Starter that Has the Flywheel Locked Up.

Sounds a Lot like you are Going to need a Rebuild on this Motor. From what is Printed above, This Motor is Indeed Lock up.

check see if you have12.5 volts at batery if not alternator failed.if alternator good, could have broke timing belt,or internal engine or transmission damage check see if you can turn engine with a large 1/2 socket and wrench if not engine could have seized up.
