00446 codes steering ligth comes on and steering wheel make hard too turn

Hi,
Intermittent hard power steering, at the begining of the turn of the steering wheel, once disturbed past the hard part, works normal.
Had fluid change, I notice a sensor, on the control block tower of the rack, is this at fault ? thanks buckleyeng.

power steering belt broken or fell off, or the pump is out of oil. The pump is down on the right hand side (passenger) between the fire wall and the engine. You should be able to see if the belt is still on. Check the resevoir for oil. It is on the same side. It's a little plastic pot with a dipstick. Let me know how you make out.

check the transmission fluid. It may be empty or below the minimum permissible level. I recommend you bleed while refilling.
