Vw t25 gearbox oil change

You will need a very large allen wrench (like 19mm or so) for the drain and fill plugs.
This is an uncommon size so if you do not want to invest in one just have a shop do it.
If you decide to go ahead, get GL-4 hydraulic oil and a pump. Remove fill plug first (to ensure you can before draining transmission!) on side of transmission, about mid-line.
Then remove drain plug (center bottom toward engine). Have catch pan ready.
Once it has all dripped out, replace drain plug and fill with pump through side plug until it starts to drip back out (car level).
Let it finish dripping out, replace plug and good to go!

Where do i put the gearbox oil on the chev lumina ss 2008

If it's a manual transmission then there should be a check plug on the side of the transmission. It should have a 4 sided plug you can remove with eather a 15 or 16 mm open-end wrench or an adjustable (crescent) wrench. Don't overfill, but keep it within 1 inch of the bottom of the check plug hole. Carefully use an allen wrench to check. If the vehicle has an automatic transmission and it has a transmission dipstick, then you can fill it through the dipstick tube but again do not overfill. Drive after filling and with the oil warm ensure the oil level is within the warm/hot cross hatches on the dipstick. Do not overfill. If there is no transmission dipstick on the automatic, then take it to your dealership to fill.

How do you check the transfer case fluid level

  • Locate the fill plug in the center of the transfer case facing the rear. The fill plug is a hex head bolt.

  • Remove the fill plug and check the fluid level. Insert the short end of an L-shaped Allen wrench into the hole. Spin the Allen wrench slightly and remove it. Some fluid should be present on the tip if the unit is full.

  • Attach a screw-on hand pump to a bottle of Mopar ATF+4 type 9602 automatic transmission fluid. Insert the other end of the tubing for the hand pump into the fill plug hole on the transfer case.

  • Pump fluid into the transfer case until the fluid is flush with the bottom of the hole. A small bead of fluid will drip out of the hole when the case is full.

  • Reinstall the fill plug and torque it to between 15 and 25 foot-pounds of torque. Hand-tightening the plug and turning it 1/2-half turn further with a socket wrench is equivalent to 20 foot-pounds of torque if you do not have a torque wrench available.

Is it true that there is no dipstick?

No such thing as "dipstick" on the Freelander.
Filler plug is located on top of the transmission next to two electrical connectors.
Level plug is located on the bottom of the transmission, next to the selector cable.
Use 5mm allen wrench to remove it, and fill the transmission fluid till it starts dripping from the level plug.
BE CAREFUL WHEN LOCATING LEVEL PLUG, WILL DAMAGE THE TRANSMISSION IF REMOVE THE "WRONG" BOLT.

What wrench do i need to remove the brake pads on a 1986 chevy celebrity

You'll need some metric size wrenches. Usually a 13mm and a 15mm or 16mm. Some also use an allen head socket. Auto Zone sells a rack of 5 allen sockets to fit most autos using that set up.

What is the size of the allen wrench needed to fit the oil pan drain plug in a 1995 toyota celica

The oil pan drain plug should require a 14mm hex head wrench to remove. The transmission pan requires a 10mm allen head socket, or wrench to remove. Are you sure you're trying to remove the correct drain? The oil drain should be on the passenger side and on the rear corner of the pan.

1990 honda crx si, 1.6 transmission

No dipstick...you verify by havin car first on level ground then. Then when on stable ground remove the 17mm filler plug on upper passenger side of transmission.if fliud flows out of filler plug than level is fine.if does not flow out whenplug removed.RECOMMEND STRONGLY using a honda brand manual transmission fluid in this transmission..it does wonders for shifting or gearing issues.
