Question about 2002 Ford Taurus
Car runs fine after a few minutes but when I first start driving almost seems like it is going to die. Is this something that would actually stop the car from running? Trying to put off repair for a couple weeks.
Maybe your coilpack? The humidity isnt good for old coil pack! after few minutes the heat of the engine dry it and run better

I had the same problem with My 1990 F150 300 6cylinder 4x4.....I cahnged all the same things you did, finally I sprayed a can of Gumout through the throttle body and it worked and ran great. Now I add fuel injector cleaner to the gas and a regular clean with the gumout and the problem has'nt come back. Good Luck to you and hope it works!

SOURCE: 89 thunderbird - 3.8 Car dies
i had this problem on my 88 t-bird 3.8L. not exactly sure of the cause but to remedy mine... it seems the computer was not telling the fuel pump that the car was running. so the fuel pump would quit pumping. run a wire from your battery to the positive line going to the fuel pump (temporary). if this solves the problem (and you don't mind solving it this way) make the wire run clean and hook it to a switch so you can turn it on when you wanna drive. this is not the way a dealership would fix it but its also not gonna cost you more than you probably have invested in your car. hope this helps

Replacing the fuse the first time was the right move, becuase it could have been a fluke that it blew. Replacing it again and again was not! You should have found out EVERYTHING that the #2 fuse controlled and verified that the components weren't pulling excessive amperage (shorted condition). By replacing the fuse over and over, you might have made the problem worse by subjecting good components to something that was shorted.
BTW next time pick the oldest guy at autozone to help you, if the counter help knew their stuff they would have told you the same thing I just did!
