Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Galant
I had to jump my new battery then my engine light came on got it read and took it to the shop the said no its not that it was loose battery termanls i ran it all day and night no issues today it was fine then i needed a jump again but still no service lights on dash as soon as i shut car off it wont start again idk what the issue is the battery is saying its good. I have a aftermarket system in there idk if that has something to do with anything... But i cant afford to keep sinking all this money into something that we dont whats wrong with it please help
Needing a jump can mean several things.
The cables could be dirty or not tight again, the battery may be loosing power if the car sits, and so on.
Someone would need to check the battery with a meter when it won't crank and find out if the battery is fully charged, and if the starter is getting power.

It is your battery it may not be completly dead but it is too dead to run the starter. It take 300 -600 amp to run a starter and 20 amp to run a stereo

it might be the a couple of thngs...
1)catalytic converter messed up
2)oxygen sensor before or after the catalytic converter needs to be replaced.
3)belts need tightening
4)your fuel cap has not been well tightened.
go down to a mechanic and have them check your engine light. They most likely will have a computer to check and narrow down what might be the problem.

in order to get the code for that car you are going to have to call the dealership. and give them the specs on your car and maybe even your vin number.
