Can anyone tell me where is the idle speed sensor is located on my gmc sierra 1500hd

There is no part called an idle speed sensor, don't listen to the parts guys, they are making it up as they go along, most likely they are messing with you.

Its ideling to high getting too much gas how do you turn it down some

Since the car is electronic injection and not carb engine you cannot regulate the idle manually. The idle fuel mixture to be injected is automatically determined by the ECU (the car main computer) depending on the inputs delivered from different parts. If the car is idling too high it means that there is a defective part.

Parts that must be tested are the following:

Idle air control valve and solenoid, also called IAC valve. The part is located on top of engine and determines amount of air to be injected when idle.
Vacuum system. The system has many different functions. Test the system for leaks that may result in lean mixture and other collateral problems.
O2 Sensors located in the exhaust system.
Air filter.
MAF sensor and IAT sensor located in the air intake.
Throttle position sensor.

Do also a diagnostic trouble code scanning. If there are codes stored they will help to identify the problem.

Rough engine idleing, stuck in high idle and also low idleing when stopped

you did'nt specify what year the vehicle is,but i suspect a bad idle control sensor. located on the intake manifold. usually. the cost of part is around 20.00 and replacement involves removing 2 bolts. just disconnect the battery before the replacement.autozone can assist with the location with a print out on paper,or advance auto,o'reilleys auto parts. all should be able to print it out for you with parts location and should be able to explain how to replace it. the rough idle up and down describes a bad idle control sensor, but if you want to be sure,,have them code read your cars computer for free just to be sure. it is a free service. thank you for choosing!

Temp guage inside truck pulses..and outside temp is going crazy...truck is idleing up and down at idle

For the pulsing temp gauge: Check Coolant Temperature Sensor located near the Thermostat.
After this is change - recheck idle.
If still rough on idle, check the Idle Sensor.

Speedo not working/ RPM fluctuates when in idle

the speed sensor on an automatic is located on the back left underside of the transfer case (transmission). It is held in place by one 10 or 12mm(I believe) bolt. Sorry no clue about the idle sensor.
