Whta can couse the gas pump to stop pumpin while pumping gas in my car

a. There is a Restriction in the Filler Neck of the Vehicle
b. VENT TUBE is twisted and not allowing the Air to escape as the Gas goes into the Tank.

This happen to one of my customers and could not figure it out. Then I said "Let ME SEE".... So I disconnected the Filler Neck off the vehicle and found that someone put a Plastic Bag into the Filler neck and jammed it all the way down to the Tank...

I removed the Partly Melted Bag, reinstalled the Filler Neck and worked perfect

Can you siphon gas from a 2007 saturn vue

Not sure on that particular model, as some have a filter screen in the filler neck preventing a tube from being stuck down into the tank. Only one way to find out, stick a piece of garden hose down the filler neck ( use about a 4 foot section) if it only goes in a few inches to a foot, you will have to drain the gas by disconnecting the fuel line at the tank and pressure pump it out. I have a 2002 Chevy blazer and it has a problem filling up the tank. It acts like it is full even when it is empty. What do i do to fix this

the vent tube in the filler neck is either plugged or disconnected, remove the filler neck to check it, lack of ventilation causes the gas to foam in the filler neck and triggers the filling nozzle

Fuling problem, gas backs up in filler and cuts off, hard to fill with fuling cutting off every 3-5 seconds.

That would be your carbon canister. You will need to replace that to fix your problem. It will be somewhere between your fill opening and the gas tank. Look for a line running from filler tube that would be it. Also you may have an access hole for your fuel pump in trunk, if you do, you can probably see the top of it in the direction of your filler tube. Hope you find it. Shouldn't be to bad, but that is your problem.

How do i replace the neck on my gas tank

1)Open the gas door and unbolt the gas filler neck from the body of the vehicle, using a 1/4-inch ratchet and socket.-------
2)Crawl underneath the vehicle, and use a flat-head screwdriver to disconnect the fuel filler neck from the gas tank. There is a hose clamp that secures the rubber hose to the tank, and a breather tube as well. Work the tubing off the tank using your hands.--------
3)Pull the gas filler neck out of the gas door by hand. You may need to twist it around to snake the tubing through the body of the car, but it will come out.------
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Can not fill 2002 Ford Explorer with gasoline.

Did you check the vent tube alongside the filler neck? If it is pinched or blocked with something, just what you describe will happen. The air in the tank needs some way to escape to make room for the gas, and it should be through the vent tube. If it's bent, pinched, blocked, you will have a hard time pumping gas in.
