1999 Mercedes ML320 hesitate to go when you apply gas then engine dies when you apply more gas. I can drive very slowly and try to apply gas then car does not go at all and stalls right away.

Check your IAC Valve (Idle Air Control Valve), and TPS (Throttle Position Sensor), and throttle linkage. You could even be having problems on the spark side of the equation - the ICM (Ignition Control Module), spark plugs, coil pack(s), etc. On the fuel side, you may have an underperforming fuel pump (leading to low fuel pressure), or bad fuel pressure regulator, or even clogged fuel filter/fuel strainer.
You'll want to query your car's computer to find what OBD-II DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) that the car's computer has stored. The presence of this stored DTC code is the reason that your Mercedes has lit the CEL (Check Engine Light).
One can get a free DTC code check (in the US) at AutoZone/Advance Auto Parts/Pep Boys. When you have this code (they may look up a brief explaination of the code for you), you'll at least have a good indication of which engine system has been found by your car's ECC (Engine Control Computer) to be performing erroneously. OBD-II = On-Board Diagnostics II (applies to 1996 and newer model years)
If you go on Mercedes USA website http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/index and choose "owner support "then pick the model and year for your car handbook it should explain it there. Usually just pressing the correct buttons in sequence.
There is a nice writeup buletin on this repair, you need to remove driveshaft and split it in the joint area to be able to replace the center support bearing. I did this twice already on my 99ML320.
You can find all the info with pictures in your local library computer under alldata automotive repair. Or go to mercedes forum sites. Good luck, Bernard
i would try cleaning mass air sensor, its mounted in air duct between air filter and throttle body, they sell the cleaner at auto parts stores, also as stated bofore make sure the intake pipe clamps are tight and it's not cracked, if that doen't fix it i would investigate a fuel pressure problem either a weak pump or problem with regulator
Possible you have an earth wire loose ( contact wiring.) Loose battery terminals. Please start the checking from battery side and carefully not to cause any unexpected spark. That might cause a serious damage to ECU etc, My technical advise better a Car Electrician to do the job for your benefit.
