Question about 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan

Electrical Problem and now won't start

Problems include: ABS idiot light comes on (usually when dashboard light and needles fail to work), idiot light for BRAKE and CHECK ENGINE are on permanently, when we turn on the defrosters the rear windshield wiper works intermittently.

Now the car will not start...........

When the key is put into the ignition (before turning) there is a clicking noise and sometimes the alarm goes off.

One common problem is with intrument cluster solder joints where the cable connector attaches to the circuit board. Solder joints fracture. Resolder. Use Hanes manual to get dashboard apart.

Indication is instrument panel goes dead and car sometimes will not start.

Other possibilites are loose connectors or poor connections in cable harnesses.
