Problem for BMW 1989 3 Series

Hand brake light wont go out

i looked at a car i would like to buy..BMW 2004 3 series but when u take off the handbrake the dash light changes from red to orange... (like its warning theres something wrong) wat could the problem be?

this sounds like the brake pads may have worn down and the sensors have lit the warning light on the dash, check the brake pads and if the thickness of the pad is at about 3mm then a new set of pads and sensor will be required
