Antifreeze leaking from engine on 2001 ford focus

Son parked his car and about five minutes later car started to smoke and antifreeze started going everywhere. I checked hoses and reserve for leaks and nothing. Put water in reserve tank and it started flowing out from somewhere on the back side of the engine.

It also could be that you have a frozen radiator. If that is the problem it is an easy fix, just remove your radiator, take it inside to your bathroom and put it in your bathtub and let HOT water run into the upper and lower inlet/outlet valves until you see clear water coming out. You can also fill your tub with HOT HOT water and then put in your radiator and let it thaw that way. Once you are done, just re-install your radiator, fill it with 50/50 antifreeze and then you need to burp your system...With the engine running, radiator cap off ,turn on your window defroster on high (this part works best if you have 2 people), one inside the car and the other watching the system for bubbles when the bubbles quit put your radiator cap back on and enjoy the heat...Your system needs to burp so you will have heat...I hope this helps you out, this would be alot easier than replacing a head gasket...

It sounds like you have a blown head gasket, check your engine oil, take off your oil cap and if it is frothy around the cap and inside the head, you have a blown head gasket.

SOURCE: 2001 Ford Windstar is leaking antifreeze

Could be water pump, radiator, freeze plugs, hoses, ect. try and isolate the area by putting a piece of card board down on the ground and line up what is above it. Garages use a pressure tester on the cooling system to see where the leak is. I would guess water pump,or small bypass hose

SOURCE: my 2001 ford taurus is leaking coolant on the

It could be a hose on top of the engine leaking back there. It could also be a freeze plug on the back of the engine. Its a round disk about 2-3" in diameter and is recessed about 3/8" into the block. Check those out and make sure all hoses are good and tight. Any hoses that are kind of puffed out above the clamp should be replaced

Ford focus tdci white smoke problems

What happening is you have a bad head gasket or its starting to go bad. As long a little oil is getting in to cylinders causing that smoke once it warms up that gasket is expanding thus the smoke stops. I would keep an eye on oil levels if it gets milky replace gasket asap. Could also be intake gasket but highly doubt it this sounds like a worn head gasket.

We just purchased a 2002 Ford Escort. Tonight, when starting the car, it ran very rough and then died. We started it again and it ran fine after that. It has happened twice and it has only happened when...

Could be a idle air problem. The injector could be leaking when you shut it off ..Try some injector cleaner see if it gets better..The idle air shouldnt run rough just idle real low or sometimes it will get stuck and idle high....Are you losing any antifreeze..If you are the 2.0 SOHC engine bad about leaking antifreeze into the cylinder and makes the engine run rough until it burns it out..See if you can see the smoke coming out when it happens..White smoke indicates antifreeze,,Black smoke indicates fuel..

Leaking water and antifreeze, not all the time, when filling up,engine not running -fluids run out.when car started and engine running fluid leak slows down HELP

Could be a couple of things going on here. The worst case is a leaking head gasket, or best case is a bad thermostat. that is no opening all the way. Take a small hammer and GENTLE hit the housing for the thermostat that sometimes will free it up.

Car overheating and engine light on

well, driving it 30 minutes after it over heated might have cause serious engine damage, warped head, and other bad engine wear, let the engine cool down park it in a level place and check the fluids, if the water has a milky substance in it then you have a bad problem, if the oil is low then check for leaks, check the transmission fluid for proper fluid level and that could stop the hard shifting.

the smoking could be coming from the fluids that leaked out and when they get hot will start smoking, antifreeze residue will smoke for a short time, it might just need to burn off

I think the heating core is shot

If the heater core has a hole in it you will see steam that smells like antifreeze and water and antifreeze leaking into the car.Not smoke.
