The button is usually associated with the horn ring, so you will need to get the steering wheel assembly to pieces , best to dissconnect the battery, jjust in case you might short something or annoy the neighbours.Having not actually worked on a merc, but the principle is standard

Kia 2003 Sedona stuck on horn problems keys is out of car

the horn button normally has power all the time and if the horn is stuck on the problem will be either relay short or the horn button pin is stuck requiring the button removal from the steering wheel.

Horn is stuck on my 99 Pontiac Grand Am

What do you usually do with your vehicles?
You work on them or pay someone.
Stuck On?
I would think the horn button failed, but first
check the horn relay & do so by switching it
with a similar one if there are 2 the same.

My horn on my pt crusier is stating on. right now i have the battery dis-connected,what should i do?

EITHER HORN BUTTON STUCK OR HORN RELAY STUCK.REPLACE HORN RELAY FIRST ITS CHEAPER SEE WHAT HAPPENS.IF HORN PAD IS THE PROBLEM.YOU MORE LIKELY HAVE TO REPLACE WHOLE AIRBAG UNIT IF HORN PAD BUILT INTO AIRBAG IN THE STEERING WHEEL..LET GARAGE FIX.DONT ATTEMPT TO FIX AIRBAGS IS DANGEROUS LET GARAGE FIX IF YOUR HORN PAD BUILT IN AIRBAG.

I had to take out my fuse because my horn keeps getting jammed. how do I fix it?

If your horn keeps going off .it may be due to the horn pad being stuck or damaged or a horn relay being stuck . You can find the relay and unplug it and see if the horn stops then if there is a relay in the same box switch with the horn relay and see if the horn works right it so its a relay problem if not . You will need to remove the air bag/steering wheel pad and inspect the horn pad to see if the contacts are stuck .

Horn stuck 97 buick lasabre

I'd raise the hood, find the horn and remove the wire's from it. Should be a plug that you can release the tab and pull the plug off. You may have a relay stuck or the physical horn button. Look in the fuse block and see if you have a horn relay. You may also be able to remove a fuse to disable the horn.

The horn honks when I reconnect the battery

Hi,
If the horn only honked once it may be a symptom of your car alarm being set off after power has been re-applied. If the horn stays on after you reconnect the battery you have either a stuck horn button on your steering wheel or a stuck horn relay. Or it could be the alarm sounding the horn but that usually that occurs in a series of horn blasts (rather than continuous) and the car indicators usually flash in sync with the alarm sounding.
If the horn is stuck on in a continuous blast ie not sounding on and then off and then on etc etc, disconnect one the battery cables then pull the fuse that feeds the horn or pull off one of the removable spade electrical connectors from one of the 2 terminals on the horn itself. Usually the fuse box is either under the dashboard on the drivers side or could be under the hood. Consult your user manual for your car for fuse and horn locations.
If the horn is stuck you need to visit a qualified auto electrician, or perhaps you have a friend who knows his way around auto electrics?
Cheers,
Steve (Melbourne, Australia)
