2005 ford f-250 6.0 how compressor remplace

My assumption is this is the A/C compressor, First remove the freon for the system, you will need a special tool to disconnect the A/C lines, The parts you will need are new Compressor/w clutch and dryer, freon and refrg oil o-rings for a/c lines new restrictor for high pressure line. remove comp and dryer replace with new and proper amount of oil in compressor, replace high pressure restrictor and o-rings on lines once the system is completely together you will need a A/C vac pump to create a vacuum in the system be for the refrig is added to proper pressure for vehicle Compressor

How to change the oil pressure on 96 ford taurus

The switch is standard pipe threads with some threadlock on it.
You can buy a special socket when you buy the switch which makes it easier to R&R, or you can use a deep socket that fits the switch.

Power steering leak

with power-steering it could be one of three problems. 1- power steering pump could be going out ( normally with the pump the car will whine but will not normally leak and still hold fluid) 2- a leak in your power steering lines ( and can normally be resolved with new lines or sometimes you may be able to bypass and clamp the leak on the line) 3- you may have busted the O rings in your powersteering pump and that will actually cause the pump to leak

hint- alot of people will tell you that you may also use transmission fluid for power-steering this is true you can its that same thing as power-steering fluid just a different color (but dont put power-steering fluid in a transmission, but at the same time if you plan on replacing the pump i would use transmission fluid due to it being cheaper but it will cause the O rings in the power-steering pump to go out quicker to cause a worse leak) so i would recommend to locate the leak first before using trans fluid due to if its in a line you wont have to replace the pump but if its already the pump this is the cheapest fix until repaired

I have a 2001 Taurus with the 24 valve engine. The high pressure line to the p/s pump blew a leak and my steering started to moan so I limped it home and replaced the p/s pump to be safe. I then replaced...

Your story is very strange to me

You work on your own car which is
great, even playing with a teflon gasket
trying to learn something & resolve a
problem

THEN -- you go off somewhere & talk about
a dealer & a $500 hose

WHY would a dealer even come to mind,
after the 3 year warrantee is up?

Wouldn't you buy the hose, if necessary
& replace it yourself?

Remove the fluid resevoir & check that the
internal filter isn't clogged.
That may have been your only problem

Line loose from 2000 ford taurus transmission thats goes to radiator

Those other guys are out of line and wrong.
Fellas if you just guessing stay out of it.
Taurus has "o" ring fittings with nylon retainers and are free to move. If its not leaking dont worry about it.

Location of txv valve in af ord taurus 1999

The Thermal Expansion Valve has been replaced by a device called the ORIFICE tube which looks like a tiny line filter. It is an inexpensive part that can be easily removed and replaced for about $3 or less. You will follow the liquid line (smaller line running from the compressor to the firewall) to the midcenter point of the passenger side inner fender well and there will be a large rubber protector over the line. You will need to peel and tear or cut this away to uncover a nut that connects the line and there should be an "indentation" slot in the line on the side where the orifice tube is located. You must be very careful to discharge any pressure from the low side where you normally add refrigerant before you attempt to uncouple the liquid line. You must be very careful to wiggle and pull straight out (do not twist) on the orifice tube. If it breaks you must buy special tools to remove it. Place the new orifice tube back in the same position, replace any worn o-rings, use refrigerant oil to lubricate the new o-rings and retighten the nut but do not overtighten.

Is there o-rings on the oil cooler lines where they attach to the transmission on a 1998 ford tauris

The o rings are built into the connector housing that the trans line fits into. They are not real expensive at a parts store, so you are better off just replacing the fittings themselves if they are leaking. However there is a special tool needed to remove the line from the fitting. without it you will not be able to get them apart. The tool is not expensive either.

Hope this helps.
