2003 1500 Dodge Truck engine light indicator and lamp out light

The engine indicator light is on with the lamp out light. I have no idea why I checked the lights on the vehicle and didn't find any lights out. I can't tell if anything is wrong, because it runs the same as when I first bought.

First off it would be helpful to know what the light is on for but im gonna take a stab in the dark that says you dont have a codescanner but i have found that a frequent problem that trips that light would be a 25 amp mini fuse in the main fuse pannel in the engine compartment it is for the ac fan pull it and see if its bad if it is replace pull the battery cable for five minutes and replace this will clear out the code chrysler is also known for tripping MIL for not tighting the gas cap tight enough if so tighten the gas cap till it clicks and once again disconnect the battery cable if niether of these solutions works i would recomend taking it to a local parts store and having them hook a scanner up to it... Its free at a parts store and most of the major chains will do it... if thats the case please post the code that comes up and i will be better able to help you hope this helps

Where do I find my check engine fuse on my 2003 dodge durango

If your talking about check engine indicator, see the other indicator lamps under the check engine? They all should use the same voltage, same fuse. If the other indicator lamps work, the problem isn't a fuse. Just my opinion.
I don't know if that bulb is replaceable? Maybe a faulty instrument cluster?

I just changed my oil and my fuel filter on my Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel. Now my check engine light is on.

computer in your Dodge truck generates and stores error codes related to critical vehicle component systems. When your Dodge truck generates one of these codes, a Check Engine Light will illuminate on the dash. This light can indicate a variety of problems. Ironically, only several codes pertain to the actual engine in your truck. Many of the codes can indicate a problem with the transmission, emissions control system and even the fuel system. To erase the code and get the light to go off, you will need to reset the computer. This will involve cutting the power to the computer. Instructions

1 Open the hood and loosen the retaining nut connected to the battery cable clamp that is attached to the negative battery terminal. 2 Slide the negative battery cable clamp off the battery terminal. 3 wait five seconds then slide the battery cable clamp back over the negative battery terminal. The Dodge's computer will now be reset. 4 Tighten the retaining nut on the cable clamp to secure the clamp to the battery. On some Dodge trucks, you will need to drive an additional 500 miles from the time you cut power to the computer for the Dodge's computer to fully reset.

My dodge is a 1996 dodge ram 1500 with a 3.9 v6. my truck runs rough most of the time, i took it to autozone and they said that the check engine light was indicating that the truck was running too lean....

intermittent lean condition may be caused by leaking intake manifold gaskets. Get some carb cleaner and start the truck. Open the hood and spray carb cleaner on the intake manifold gaskets. If the engine reacts at all, you have a gasket leak. If you have questions, please let me know.

On my dash cluster for a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500, I have a "Lamp Out" indication. My head lamps are working. Help Thanks

Hi
Turn on your lights, turn your turn signals on to either side and walk around the truck looking for a light burned out.Parking lights, turn signal, anything. If you don't find anything put your turn signal to the other side and walk around again. But most likely it's a parking or "running" light. The bulb out warning checks several different systems.Don't forget to have someone help you with back-up lights too.If it's time for 1 to go,there may be another. And have them step on the brakes and check those too.
Back-up and brake lights are 2 that you should never get a ticket for.
Seriously,how could you know?
You'll find it

Indicator light it is a red line on both sides with kind of a cocked z look in between them almost like thunderbolt and was wondering what that was also do i have to let truck sit for about ten secounds...

This indicator lamp is for the Electronic Throttle Control. If it is on while the engine is running, the vehicle should still be drivable, but requires a service check. If it is flashing while the engine is running, the engine will run poorly or not at all.

It is normal for this lamp to come on for a few seconds when you first start the engine, this serves as a test to be sure the lamp is working.

No 'running lights'

cover or underside of cover should have details/map. Also check under hood for relay/fuse box too.

2000 Dodge Stratus

The first thing I would do is check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) for stored codes. To call up codes, cycle ignition switch on, off, on, off and on within 5 seconds. Stored codes will be indicated by flashes of the check engine lamp. The codes will be indicated as two digit numbers, with a four second pause between codes. An example of a code scan is as follows:
  • Power Loss/Check Engine Lamp illuminated for approximately 2 to 3 seconds as a bulb check, then turns off.
  • Lamp flashes 2 times, pauses, then flashes 6 times.
  • Lamp pauses for approximately 4 seconds.
  • Lamp flashes 3 times, pauses, then flashes 1 time.
This would indicate that code 26 and 31 are stored. The lamp will continue to flash until all stored codes have been displayed.
If we are lucky we'll get some codes to work with. This will show you any transmission codes.

I found that a code 31 on a 94 Voyager indicates an evaporative emissions problem, but I'm not sure whether that code applies to your car as well. Have the ECU scanned at AutoZone and see what comes up. They'll do it for free and will give you the codes. Then you can post them up and we'll see what we can do about them.
