SOURCE: Engine Error Codes P0353, P0113, P0133, P0551, P0171

I would disconnect the battery for about 3 mins. Then drive it around tell the light comes on and then check the codes again by cycling the key 3 times. Have you put new plugs in? I have replaced my plugs 4 times tell I relized Dodge durango 4.7 and Magnums do not like platnium plugs. They will miss almost from the first time putting them in. Then I would go to Cylinder 3 and look at the plug. For the most part its either plugs on the left bank or Coils. all you have to do is pull the coil put the plug from that cylinder in the coil and ground the electrode out. If it sparks the coil is working if not then change the plug if it still dosnt you have a bad coil. The power steering switch is somthing way diffrent. The o2 sensor smells the gas and tells the computer wether its needs to back off on fuel or put in more. So if thats bad youll lose about 2 miles per gallon if you need more help go to http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums
They have always helped me or email me at frizzell3333@q.com I hope this helps.

SOURCE: check engine light is on...bank 1 sensor1 oxygen sensor

if u have one oxygen sensor then u need to take a deep look at the bottom of ur car it will be somewhere at the Exhaust pipe if u have a catalytic converter then u will have two oxygen sensors one before the catalytic converter & the other will be after the catalytic converter. Note: the catalytic converter is located at after a little bit of beginning in Exhaust pipe.

you have a 02 sensor on the exhaust under the car that usually goes shortly after the other and viseser verser. Go to the auto parts and ask if your vehicle is OBD 2 compliant. if so buy an OBD 2 and plug it into your socket usually under the drivers side between you knees. then press read. it wil tell you what codes and the results and you also have the option to erase the codes and turn out your check engine soon light. Replacing a sensor will turn off the light but it can take weeks for the computer to reset itself that`s why the machanic uses the OBD 2 to check to see what sensors are tripped and reset them. Try the reset before buying another sensor. this should work.

2003 kia rio Check engine light keeps comin on... Problem code is P1166 for O2 sensor heater circuit.... I replaced spark plugs n cables, cleaned maf sensor, ran some fuel injector cleaner and bought new...

You would need to use a scanner to watch the data coming from the sensor. In some cases the heater circuit for the sensor is faulty, and in other cases the sensor is reading rich only. It is supposed to switch back and forth between rich and lean depending on the exhaust gas content.
The heater circuit makes the sensor hot enough to use within 2 minutes of starting the engine.

With a defective O2 Bank 1 front sensor you would expect a poor warm engine running operation.

The before catalytic O2 sensor controls the fueling function to the engine. The mixture air/fuel ratio is calculated from the input from this critical sensor.

With a simple scan tool with graphic function the operation of this O2 can be observed, and diagnosed.

Suggest borrow or if car drive-able take to a parts store that will perform a complementary scan of the O2 function.

These are heated sensors and the heated circuit electrical connection could be the problem.. Exhaust leak, blocked catalytic converter, broken wire are all possible causes. By graphing the function and comparing to bank 2 diagnostics are relatively easy.

The reason at cold startup the engine is OK is that until the O2 heats up the engine is running open loop and the O2 is not hot. To be operational the O2 must be hot.

Hope this helps?

O2 sensor cross talk bank to bank irregular, change 02 sensor(s).

Sounds like Idle air control sensor bad, All of your codes interact, I would start with 02 sensor.

I would locate a Tech II and run a diagnosis, eliminate guess work.
