SOURCE: Squeaky Brakes

If your going to go through all that, your better off replacing the pads. There not that expensive and most Auto parts places like Part Source or Auto Zone have a life time free replacement parts.
Just replace the pads and may be the rotors if they are damgaged or have worn marks on them. Take care of the ABS sensor not to misalign it or break the wire harness.
As for jacking up the car. Find a spot on the front frame clip to jack up the car and use a jack stand, a hydraulic jack has been know to fail and start to come down or fall over on it's side with cars being held up.
Never lube the break pads. = Very bad thing.
Good luck and hope this helps.

Take a can of WD-40 lube and spray on a rag and rub it on that areas that squeak. If you can spray it with out getting it on the fabric it would work better.

SOURCE: power window switchs on 1996 gmc jimmy

Inspect or replace the window lock and unlock switch on the drivers door power window switch. There is a lock and unlock switch that will disable the switches to the other power window in the Jimmy. Check to make sure that switch is in the unlock position to have the other power window switch to work.
Thank you for suing fixya and good luck.

Squeaky clutch pedal

This is a common problem. Your clutch pedal has a return spring on it, each end of which can squeak when dry.
Look under the dash, and locate this. Dab a bit of grease at each end of the spring where it hooks around. Work the pedal up and down a few times and the squeak should go the way of the Honda Element.

Windows will not roll up or down unless it rains in them

Common problem with windows sticking. The rain is working as a lubricant.

By far the best solution for this is to roll the window down (Help by pushing them by hand gently if you have to) and then spray a silicone based househould polish into the guides that the windows run up and down in. DO NOT use a wax polish, it will work at first, but then get sticky and gum things up. If the product is familiar to you, I find "Mr Sheen" (The one WITHOUT WAX in it). is an excellent thing to use.

97 plymouth vourger new belt still squeeks

It sounds like one of your pulleys may be having bearing issues, one way to check this is to go to the parts store and buy some "belt dressing" it is a spray that stops belt squeak. Find a safe spot where you can spray the belt while its moving and only spray the belt. If the belt stops squeaking its just a squeaky belt. If it keeps squeaking then you may have one of your pulleys going bad.

Sometimes pulleys will squeak too if they are just not very lubricated. If the belt dressing works you are good to go, if it doesn't work, go ahead and give the belt area a good spray down avoiding your electrical components. Thanks.

The car makes a squeaking noise when driving

Beyond the issues of dry wheel bearings and CV joints, various points in the suspension (front and rear) have rubber pivot points that get squeaky when moved. Try pushing down on each corner of the car to try to locate the area of the noise. Is it worse on rough roads or smooth? Make sure that all of the lug nuts on the wheels are tight. Lastly, doors, hood, and trunk lid can squeak if they move while driving. Silicon spray lubricant works on all rubber surfaces. Wheel bearing grease works on wheel bearings and CV joints--look for wear and replace any damaged part.
