Fuse panel I bought my 2001 taurus used and it didnt come with a manual..I have a blown headlight (driver side) and I changed bulb and theres no corrosion at any of the connections..I was wondering if it could be fuse? but I am having no problem with the other light? if it could be the fuse i don't know which one of them goes to drivers side headlight..had my ex look at the fuses but he said none were blown?? but had a friend tell me it could be blown just on the side of the fuse?? can you help? thanks Susan

Unfortunately this is not a fuse issue. It would be if both headlights were blown. The fuse controls both headlights not just the one. I would be inclined to think either a.) you may have gotten a bad bulb from the store. or b.) you have a broken wire somewhere or c.) a ground wire broken. I would try replacing the bulb again just to eleminate that being the problem (and if its not you got a spare bulb just in case then) and go from there. Good luck and thanks for using fixya!

Sincerely,

JC

Fix dim headlight Ford Taurus 2002

Check your fuses. There is sometimes a separate file for each headlight. One may be about to go out and need replaced.

Prius headlights work only on highbeam

There should be separate fuses for high and low beams on a Prius. If one of your headlight bulbs is bad, it could have blown the low-beam fuse. Check for blown fuses behind driver's side headlight fuse panel. If new one blows, replace headlight bulbs and try again.

On 2004-2009 Prius, driver's side headlamp bulb can be replaced by removing hold down screws and folding fuse panel upward to access rear of headlight assembly. Large round cover with 3 tabs unscrews about 1/4 turn to remove. It's really tight and held by friction of large O-ring so it'll take some muscle but it will eventually give. Be careful replacing bulbs as metal clips can be easily installed incorrectly resulting in tilted headlight beam. 3-tabs must rest on flat surfaces on mounting area before spring clip can be latched in place. 3-prong plug can be wiggles sideways/up and down to remove from bulb.

My lights for a ford escape 2001 wont work

check under the hood for black box, lift the cover off of black box, marked" main fuse and relay boxfuse positions should be marked on underside of the lid to main fuse panel box, that you have just removed.check for a blown headlamp fuse in that box. it's either a blown fuse in that box,or if only one headlights "out" it will be a blown bulb(headlight bulb) it's very unusual for both headlight bulbs to blow at once. so in saying that, look for a blown headlight fuse. thank you for choosing fixya.com.

Replaced fuse on my 2001 for taurus and heat and lights on dash are out. what could be the problem?

maybe you replaced the wrong fuse. or the dash light bulbs are blown, not very likely that all blown at once so you may have only replaced the wrong fuse. if you do not have fuse location, then check them all. under dash drivers side fuse panel. you'r main engine fuses are located under the hood but have nothing to do with your dash lights. hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

My drivers side low beam headlight in my 2001 saturn sl1 is not working I changed the bulb and still nothing

most of the models have a fuse in the fuse panel for left and right low and high beam individually, did you check the fuses? Also the wiring at the bulb or metal contact may be corroded

Acura 2003 3.2TL driver side headlight low beam is out...is not the bulb ..how can this be? any idea?

most newer vehicles have individual fuses and or relays that controls each headlight separately, check the fuse panel under the hood, inside the lid there is usually a listing of what the fuses and relays do. look for drivers side low beam and take a look at the fuse, if it blown, try to replace the fuse, but there is usually a reason why it blew in the first place.
How did you test to see if the bulb was still good? ive seen dead bulbs that still look ok, try and plug the bulb from the non working side into the working side and double check.
