I have a 1990 buick lesabre and i cant get one o the break pads on....... what am i doing wrong?

you may not have the caliper pistons fully compressed so the brake pads will not go back on. Place a large C-clamp over the left inboard caliper housing and the outboard pad, and tighten to compress the caliper piston. good-day !!

1990 318i engine no compression yet timing chain ok cam and lifters working pistons going up and down has spark 0 compression wont start

I suggest you bring the pistons to TDC, one at time on the comprssion stroke and do a "cylinder leakage test". Put compressed air into the spark plug hose and try to detect where the air is going. If you have the piston exactly at TDC, it will stay there when you put conpressed air in the hole, if it's off a little it will push the piston down. If you have the valve cover off you can watch the valves to determine if you have the pistons on the compression stroke. You should be able to buy a fitting from an auto parts store that will thread into the spark plug hole. If not take an old spark plug and bust the guts out of it and weld a pipe fitting to it to adapt your air compressor hose.

Brake piston will not go in on a 1990 buick regal

Try opening that calipers bleeder valve first.Close when piston is fully in. Piston might also be cocked. That is , tilted. push piston on high side. then proceed squarely.

1990 chevy brakes

Use a C clamp and squeeze the caliper piston back in. Put the pads in place and try it. That should do it. Remember to push on the pedal a few times before you drive it. Check the fluid before you drive it.

Brake pistons won't retrack to allow new brake pads to be install

It's possible the pistons "screw" back in, even though they don't look like they are threaded. Very much like X-1/9 calipers. You might also attach a small hose to the bleed valve, and squeeze the pistons with a large set of pliers.
