Question about 1990 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

My mecerdes a 140 year 1997 was driveing parfect ,the next day i step in to go to work i tried to start it but it is refusing to start, i call the car help he check every thing sensors computer fuses every thing is in order ecept there is no sparks on the quiel , can some one helps me with taht problem

    may be i spell it wrongly.but is the place were the corrent go to the engine or the correct spelling is coil

    they have check that all and also replace them with new censours the engine is turning but it is not picking up

It is very difficult to be diagnosing such a problem like this. But I do agree. The distributor should be checked probably by an auto-electrician

In that period, distributors had a pickup coil inside that produced pulses each time a magnetic rotor passed it.
These do fail but can be tested with a multimeter by measuring the resistance. Different systems use different values but any of the coils should not measure real low (under 100 ohms) or very high (such as more than 10,000 ohms). Those I have measured were in the single-digit kilohms range (more than a 1,000 ohms, less than 10,000).

I hope that I can help. Sounds like the coil itself went bad. Can also be the electronic spark control module burnt out. Could be the crank or camshaft sensor too. I would have them checked out. I sincerely hope that these ideas could help. Best wishes.
