89toyota 22re sr5 ext cab truck 2wd 5sp manual slips out of 1st and 3rd
want to fix the trans i have not buy a new one
One quick fix, that may or may not help....Under your shifting boot, turn the collar that holds in your shifter, it should release, and let you take the shifter up. There is a plastic ball on the end, see that it isn't worn, and look at the part that the plastic ball goes into. Too much wear here can cause a problem. These are available!
If not...synchro's are very difficult to replace in a standard transmission.
