I have a fiero coupe with 78,000 original miles. it was starting fine then all of a sudden i drove it and then shut the car off and then went to restart it, it would turn over but wouldn't start. i went to work and after i got off went to start the car and it started up fine. drove 50 miles home turn car off and tried to restart and it didn't start up. after a couple of hours retried and it started right up.
You can also check your cold start injector sensor. Over the years the connector dries out and becomes brittle and can cause a loose connection. Try pressing the connector down onto the sensor and see if the car starts. It is located on the top right hand side of the engine right behind the thermastat housing and right under all of the plastic vacum hoses. There are 2 sensors there. One is the cold start injector sensor and the other is the temp fan switch sensor. If the connector or sensor is not working properly it could give the ECM bad mixture ratios or cause it not to start at all. Check it out and let us know. Fiero's ROCK!
Its vapor locking loesn or rplace the gas cap
The ignition control module goes bad as well. when it goes bad, things like this happen too often in these cars. my car had the same problem. and it didnt work right til i changed the ignition control module which is inside the pick up coil
