There is a unlock code. If you call GM, as Pontiac is no longer made, and give them your VIN# they can give you the unlock code. It will be a number sequence. If GM cannot find it due to the age of the model your best bet is to buy an aftermarket radio. I hope this helps.
If you got it new the paperwork you got should have the code. If used, check owners manual lots of people write it inside the cover. When all else fails, bring it to a dealer and give them the vin # and show registration. they can give that info to you.
