2001 Ford explorer sport- The ABS indicator light is ''on'' steady

The ABS indicator light on the dashboard is on steady. It does not go off when the car is driving and when the car is turning on a sport, the 4 legs will sieze. The car does not turn freely as a result of this. However the ABS power fuses in the fuse boxes are ok.

Try cleaning your ABS senors. They are located on the back side of your brake roters. The each senor reads how fast each tire is turning and if there is a big difference between the four your ABS will kick on.

What lite stays on? If it is an ABS lite, check the wheel speed sensor harness for damage or not connected at both wheels.

I have a 2001 ford explorer sport my abs light is on and when i apply my breaks the peddle goes way down and there is a bumbing sound like the breaks are skipping

check the fluid level in the brake master cylinder as it appears that the abs pump is running short of fluid to pump. Check for leaks at the wheels and broken brake lines.

I have a 2001 ford explorer sport, recently I have been having problems with the ABS light, I had new brakes put on, but my brakes still are not working properly.

I would have the computer checked for trouble codes first.
If the hydraulic part of the ABS is faulty, it will apply pressure to a wheel even if you don't need it.
It measures wheel speed to see when a wheel is spinning or slipping and applies brake pressure to that wheel or the other three.
Or prevents you from applying the brakes.
