Six retaining screws?  I don't remember exactly how many there were, but mine had, I believe, 3 on the bottom, 1 on the side where it latches, and 2 in the handle piece (,I think that's 6).  There was one that was on the cover for the mirror aimer device, and after those are all off, you have to carefully pry the bottom of the door out, until the clips let go, and then you lift the door, and it pops off.  Oh yeah, if your car has power locks like mine, make sure to pop the switch out with a flat screwdriver first and unclip it.  That should do it.

The best thing to do is to go on line to one of the major auto parts stores and get a diagram or exploded view of your door panel and an explation on how it comes off.

Removing rear interior panals

Remove one Phillips screw from leading edge of door panel (near latch). Remove small cap behind the door handle, inside another Phillips screw - remove screw and then the cup behind the handle. Look down in arm rest and there is another Phillips screw. Last screw is behind the approximately 1 1/2 inch plug on front upper corner of panel. At this point, gently pry around lower edge and sides - there are either five or six clips pressed into the door frame. Once all are disengaged, gently swing the bottom of the panel out and lift off the top edge of door next to window opening. Once panel is off door, gently remove the control plug from the door lock/window control on the rear of panel. Install in reverse order
hope this helps

Install motor/regulator to 2000 camry solara

It easy ! You need a philips2_bing.gif and flat screw driver,8" X 4" block of wood and a needle nose pliar.
Use flat screw driver and pry out the two or three dust covers for the arm rest screws then use philips and remove the screws. Next use the flat screw driver and pry out the black plastic mirror cover from the inside of the door. Pry out the switch panel ( aka master switch panel) with the flat screw driver and disconnect it. On the side of the door panel just above the striker is this plastic push pull typeof a hold in screw. Use flat screw driver to get it to move a little then pull it out with the needle nose. Depending on which door your doing if you have a map folder ( driver or front passenger door) in the door there are two more screw to remove on the bottom of the door.
Now the inside door handle is tricky it comes out in two pieces. Use philips and get the only hold down screw you see out.( you may have to pry out al ittle screw cover first) Now the handle cover is removed by placeing the flat screw driver on the rear of the outside of the cover top and on the outside rear bottom to release the tangs that are holding it onto the panel.Pry it out lightly you may have to place the screw driver over the top of the door release button and pry that way. Don't loose your cool its a pain but it will fall out. Once its removed unhook the panel.

Next lift the plastic cover and remove the six gold2_bing.gif bolts first(For motor and regulator) Then push the window down till you see the two bolts holding the window to the regulator .Remove them, BEFORE YOU PULL OUT THE MOTOR AND REGULATOR YOU WILL SEE TWO TANGS THAT HELP HOLD THE REGULATOR AND MOTOR TO THE DOOR MARK THE RELOCATION , NOW pull out the motor and regulator have an assistant hold up the glass while you place the two blocks of wood to hold up the window. Now order your regulator and installation is in reverse. Good luck kate. Keep me posted.
