SOURCE: LOOKING FOR A FUSE BOX DIAGRAM FOR 2004 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX GT

It's under the hood, on the driver's side, under a square, black box with a lightning symbol on it. Loosen the flower-shaped screw that holds the lid of the box down, remove the lid, flip it upside down and when you look at the inside of the lid, you'll see a map of all your car's fuses. There's also a fuse diagram on the very end of the dash, but it's accessible only when you open the driver's side door. When you're driving, that end of the dash is blocked by the closed door.

Where is the engine coolant temp sensor located on a 2004 grand prix gt

On the 3.8 liter the coolant temp sensor is right below the the thermostat in the intake manifold on the drivers side of the engine.

The thermostat is under the housing that is bolted to the intake plenum that the upper hose is attached to.

Go somewhere and get codes retrieved and see what they are you could have bumped a connector or broke a sensor while doing repairs. Also double check did you disconnect any connectors?

2005 grand prix 3.8L series III - engine cooling fans run continuously and heat gauge does not register- but engine and heater warm up good..thanks in advance TBS

One of two sensors are bad. I'm guessing by the fact that the TEMP is not registering, that that temp sensor is bad. It sends a signal to the computer to activate the fans. A trip to the library in the automotive section may help locate this sensor. Then off to the Auto Store for the part. Good Luck

Engine cooling fans dont come on until temp. gauge is almost red-lined. Already changed fan controled temp. sensor.

Perhaps your gauge is faulty. Is your coolant filled up? You may also have a vapour lock causing the problem. Also you may have to change your thermostat. It may be sticking. Good luck!

Coolant temp below thermostat regulating temp

more than likely the thermostat has stuck open. Or opening to soon not allowing the car to reach normal operating temperature. I would start by replacing the thermostat. Clearing the code and running a drive cycle and see if the code comes back. if the code does not return problem solved. if it does return replace the coolant temp sensor.

I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix air temp sensor may be bad

the air sensor yur thinking of is usually found out front of the car on the post that supports the hood latch betwween the radiator assemblies and the oute decorative grill. go to your auto parts store like autozone and ask for the ambient air temp sensor. then if they can, ask for a diagram of its location. Its real easy to replace usually one bolt and one wire clip. Autozone has /offers these do it yourself repar guides that can help you .
