Yes, there's power, but the mechanic claims he can't find one, which is B.S.

If the ground is good I would take a careful look at the light socket itself. There may be corrosion inside or on the power wire where it goes into the socket or it may just be making poor contact.
You can get a replacement one at any auto parts store. The last one I got was about $10. Get some heat shrink tube to cover your splices, it does a much better job of sealing the splice than tape. Hope this helps.

Ground for the headlamps on your vehicle are after the turn/ headlamp / wiper switch . No grounds under the hood . ground G-201 is the ground point for the headlamps .

G201
On the left side of the IP, near the fuse block

you should look at a wiring diagram ! You can view one here at
http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html

There is a left an a right headlamp fuse located in the under hood junction block (fusebox) B+ voltage from that fuse goese directly to the headlamps from the headlamps goes back to the junction block (internal ) from there to the headlamp switch , ground is through the switch to G- 201 . Find the problem with voltage drop testing . Watch this video . Between the left headlamp an ground you have a high resistance problem . the headlamps are controlled by the IPM (intellegent power module) which is a fancy name for the underhood fuse box. The fuse box has its own computer that controls lighting. The only thing you can do is check for power the the drivers side headlamp. The drivers side low beam is power by the white w/ dark blue wire. If there is no power then a trip to your dodge dealer is the next step.

It is possible that there is an issue with the ground wire so make sure the ground wire is grounded.

Check your wires going from the Alarm module behind your headlight switch, to your drivers side door. I have this same issue and i noticed that the wires were cracked and have been to lazy to redo them yet, but that is what they say to check on vwvortex.com other than the wires it could be your alarm module

Click on the link, hope you can read it? The top four wires are voltage. The two on the right come from head lamp switch. The two on the left are fuse protected, hot all the time. Use a test light and check for voltage. Hopefully the text will tell you how the module works. I don't know if replacing module will fix it, but, if voltage and grounds for the module are all ok, what else could it be?

if the one headlight is dimmer than the other, it's most likely a grounding issue. Pull the headlight connector and follow the wires and find the one that is grounded to the body of the car. Make sure that the connection is tight, not cut or damaged, or corroded. You can cut out the damaged piece of wire and replace with a new one of similar size and color,

This may be either a defective DRL module or a headlight ground fault.
