Question about 1998 Dodge Caravan
Need instruction how to get old one out to install new one
Most barrels are removed by inserting the key first. There used to be a very small hole next to where you put your thumb to turn the switch. If this id the case you will need a piece of firm wire that neatly fits in this hole, pushin and turn the key further off. THe barrel should slip out REplacement will be the opposite. If there is no hole look around that area as most units are held in with a retaining pin or clip

sounds like there is no fire to coil from ign. switch. if so check for a faulty ignition ballast resistor that is mounted on firewall.(white in color) remove, inspect, and replace. hope this will help!!!
