i got exactly the same symptoms on my 407
after spending some time underneath i found that the ABS sensors on the inside of the wheelhubs were covered in road dirt
after CAREFULLY jet washing the area and carefully spraying with WD40 (dont get any on the brakes)
it the lights stayed off
other than that is most likey to be a faulty sensor
