Question about 2009 Saturn Astra XE
After a rain the back floor behind the drivers seat is wet nothing else but that spot i am thinking roof rack bolt down
On a dry day take a garden hose and shoot water in any area that could leak and check and see if there is water in any of those areas. Also check under the car to see if there are holes or cracks that could leak. A rust spot will sometimes leak as well.

you can test again the car by putting a garden hose at the front of the windshield where it is supposed to **** fresh air. if you have a rusted part there and water could sipped in.
another option would be the recycle door of the airconditioning could be partly open ang letting the water come inside the car..
tnx 4 using fixya,

Great solution: Use a 8 foot length of weed eater plastic "blade". You can get a small amount from a hardware supply store. While twisting the strand, insert it into your drains that are located in the corners of your open sunroof hole. Feed the plastic thru the tubing... don't force it, use gentle pressure. Test with a bit of water and look under the car for drainage.

pull the kick panel on the affected side. there is a rubber panel underneath that gets removed as well. reach inside and you will find the hose. pull it up and you will find that it has a cap on the bottom to prevent wind noise. remove and clean it thoroughly. If it is clean, pull the headliner down and reconnect the drain hose at the sunroof.
the rear hoses almost NEVER leak, so don't bother with them unless you find no problems in the front.

take a star screw driver and punch a pair of holes in your floor on drivers side make sure once you go through push the screw driver towards the front of the car and creat angled pockets
these will be your new drains being so small they will bnot tako on water or they will take on a min of water and they will drain the floors
it''s the easiest way to fix the problem go right through the carpet it's just thet easy use a good pointy screw driver or a center punch but dont make the hole larger then 1/4 inch
a mechanic will carge you 250 to fix original drains and will likely do the same as i said a couple of wacks near the lower center on the floor boards
so get in place feet on floor slide them back against the seat with it all the way back now place pointy object between feet and wach it with a hammer
once through push pointy objest forward to create new drain
