SOURCE: code for kia sportage tape and cd player

You can go to the dealer and have them help you get the code for the radio, if there going to charge you a crazy amount you can try www.radio-code.com. There cost is cheaper and can help you reprogram the code in your KIA. befor you go through all that, check for the code in the glove box, there might be a sticker in there or in your back pages to your manuel.
Good luck and hope this helps yougte your radio wokring again, keep me posted oh and try 0000 first.

The only way is to trace the wiring to hunt down that short. Just ck the wiring every few feet until u narrow it down to see where your losing your ignition power. Good luck

My 2000 kia sportage wont start. The battery is up but seems like its not getting gas.I jump it and its fine tell next morning then all over again

If you are able to jump start then this would indicate either the battery or the wiring at the battery is faulty not the fuel system!

a wire has wore through somewhere perhaps where t goes through a fender panel a 30 amp fuse is huge so you have a dead short. look front fenders grab wires look for where they may be rubbing from vibration while driving {sharp edge of opening] should be easie to find from a burn mark. dont keep replaceing fuse untill you find the burn spot.[short]

1999 kia sportage turns over but wont start.chek engine light not coming on when ignition is switched on

This sounds like the ignition fuse, but you may have a dead battery too. check connections on the cables and see if it will start with a jump. You may have left the lights on or some other device and drained the battery. If it won't start with a jump then check all your fuses one at a time including the ones under the hood. The diagram on the covers should have one saying ignition but check ALL the fuses any how, A domino effect can sometimes happen taking more then one fuse out. Let me know how it turns out so far. hi check the main alternator charigng wire the comes out of your alternator see if it is sending a 14v no less reading on a multimeter if not replace the alternator if so go to your battery see if the multimeter readings are the same as the alternator if so do a battery discharge test if not trace the path of the main wire which comes from the alternator to the battery for breaks and all connections yates210456
